Default OT- Winter project

I have been busy this winter working on Applepie. I pulled the engine and trans. and had them gone through. I put a Comp Cam Thumper cam in it and added a new polished intake and new Speed Demon carb. I just got it timed yesterday and took it out for a spin. What a difference! Now that it is put back together I can get the Cobra on the hoist and do a nut and bolt inspection to get ready for the nice spring weather .

Jake

Jake .... beautiful car !! A friend I grew up with had one , except it was white .... loved to go riding in the spring in the Blue Ridge mountains with our ladies and the top down .... the car`s that is !!
You`ll appreciate this . Another friend of mine had/has a white `61 Impala SS bubble top , 348 engine with 3 deuces , 3 speed on the column .... and less than 50 miles on it . He ordered the car new from the dealer , picked it up , drove it home and put it in storage . The car ( as of a few years ago ) was still at his garage with less than 50 miles on it , totally original and looking like it just came out of the showroom . Unfortunately , he couldn`t drive it as he lost his eyesight . He also had a black `57 "fuelie"... that he also ordered new , which I used to get to drive every now and then .... I was 17 at the time and thought I had died and gone to heaven !!
BTW , the Chevy 327 is my favorite engine .... it can be a real screamer .
Again ... beautiful car .

Bob

Thanks Andy, it has been a tough few months. I am looking forward to going for some drives this spring. I was down in Florence Or. last weekend riding quads in the dunes or I would have joined you guys.

Jake
