Even a Gurney bubble would be a fail in this case. Funny pics! |

Jake, the top of the door, if slammed hard enough, would have created the room by simply taking a bit off the top. I'm glad you got those pictures as I wasn't ready with the camera at the time. Seeing you get out of the passenger seat was pretty damed funny! In the picture attached, I like how the people in the background look to be snickering at the situation. |

Brent- thanks for bringing your MkIV down to PIR for the Historics. Great looking car, but I have to agree the cockpit width looked tight for two people. Minor issue when you realize how much fun these are to drive.Dave Miller SPF MKII

 Jake,
I was considering a GT40. I sat in one at the last West Coast Cobra Bash. Unfortunately, I had to call "Reno 911" to come get me out of it. That ruined the whole experience.

It's overdue we some pics of someone stuck in a car, the standard issues shots around here are mostly of Jamo.
If ya think that's tight,,,, Yo Brent, you still got the Abarth? HA HA HA, now that would be a riot. |

perry | I fit great in the SPF Coupe. That would be a perfect addition to the Cobra.

Jake...been there. Sat in the Kirkham's original GT40 just before everyone started lunch. Folks were getting their meals and sitting at tables around me. I had closed the door behind me as I sat in the driver's seat.
I then realized I couldn't even reach the door pulls.

Sat through the entire lunch...finally Computerworks comes up and mouths through the windshield "you're stuck, aren't you?" and laughs his ass off.

He could barely hear what I was saying back to him.

If the sucker wasn't an original, I would've done a Green Hulk imitation and ripped the basturd apart.

Instead...three of four folks gave me a hand.

So I added it to the list of things I can't really be comfortable in...right below Speedos.

 Jake,
Got to agree, Brent's GT40 looks awesome ... and I would not fit either!

Always thought it would be great to have a GT-40. Recently at an open house at Dynamic in Redwood City, I finally got to sit in one ... and that dream went right out the plexi glass window
As you can see from the photo below, my head is well above the roof and I can't even reach the pedals cause my knees are in the dash ... oh well!

First time being 5'10" has been a benefit to me. Certainly isn't the three nights a week that I play basketball. |
