Default Griot's garage cars and coffee

Last Sat. Dane and I wondered over to the open house at the Tacoma Griot's cars and coffee event. What an incredible facility and a great get-together spot for car guys. There was Everything from a Ford GT to a 356 Porsche with a Turbo Audi 5 cyl. They have a large shop that you drop in and have them help you with any detail issues free of charge.

There is no doubt that there products are expensive, but they are all very good. Being a hard core waxer I think it is the only place I would want to work post retirement (if need be). Anyway, they have the cars and coffee event the first Sat. of the month, every month at 8am. I will post a reminder next month and maybe we can get a group together.

Jake

You are correct, it's a great facility and their products are first class, expensive, but in my opinion are worth the cost.

Some of us met there back in October if I remember correctly. It was decent day so they had lots of great cars there to look at. I would say that at the time I left the parking lot was 60 to 70% full.

I doubt that I will have my car back together by the February date, but hopefully by March or April I will be back on the road.

I think you're right John, it was early Oct. Several of the Cobra guys showed up. They still talked to me even though I brought my 1960 Corvette. I was there last Sat. Not very many cars because the weather was crappy but that F-1 they had on display was cool. I talked to Richard Griot about his new place and he said " I had an unlimited budget, and I exceeded it". That place is beautiful. Hopefully we'll all make it one of the upcoming Saturdays. I'll even bring the Cobra so I'll fit in a little better.

Been there a couple times.........very cool place. Scary prices on things, but I know you get what you pay for on that kind of stuff. Lot's of good free advice so it all works out.

Mmmmmm.......how is it you go from "Registered User" to "Senior Club Cobra Member"?

Am I destined to be a "user" forever?
