Default More info on Shelby Event - sponsered by Shelby American

The Cascade Cobras has been formally invited to participate in a onetime special event honoring Carroll Shelby. The Annual Hop & Heritage Festival in Independence Or is happening the weekend of the September 28th through the 30th. On September 29th there will be a special Parade in memory of Carroll Shelby. The parade starts at the Central Plaza Shopping center at 10:45.

Allen Grant has also been ask to lead the pack of Cobras through the parade in his 96 yellow “Executor” cobra. All current and past members of the Cascade Cobras will follow Allen in the parade.

This event is backed by Shelby America and they are the ones that connected Allen and us all together with the parade. We really want to have a great show of Cobra’s. We are asking all who can make it, to please bring your cobra’s out for the day, and help us celebrate the life and memory of the man that made our Cobra’s so special. This is a once and a life time chance and we hope you will come out and show your support, see old friends and maybe make some new ones.

The event is $10 per car, the money is going to charity.

After the parade we will all display our cars out for the Carroll Shelby The Legend: Northwest Tribute Car show

Please check the Cascade Cobra event page for updates at Cascade Cobras or the Factory five Forums at FFCars.com : Factory Five Racing Discussion Forum, Northwest –region.

Please let me know if you are coming, so we have a estimate of who will be there and who we need to keep our eyes out for. Don’t want to leave anyone behind.
