Sure would be easier to get to from here. What all would it involve to get something like a run and gun to happen here on the west coast?

Default West coast Run-N-Gun

I will try to find out . I guess I could get a hold of somebody from the original Run-N-Gun. Also how many groups out there would like to help in such a task? Please post and let me know. Later Don

Wink

A run & gun would be great, make it after the september long weekend, things are alot quieter then. I'm sure there are a number of cobra's that could caravan down to Oregon or N. california.

After talking to the guys involved in the original Run-N-Gun we will have to come up with another name for it. The Run-N-Gun is where you drag race, autocross, road race. This takes aleast a weekend. If you have watched Bitten by the Snake you will see alittle of one in there. Another good idea is perhaps to have it in May at Las Vegas? That way the east coast guys can participate. Anybody interested in this? Lets hear you ideas!!!! Thanks Don

Default Gun & Run 2002

Don....enjoyed the call the other day...perhaps if you're going to have a shorter event you could call it the Gun & Run.....go gun it a bit and then run...would just be a day or two for fun.....
I'd love to find a place to go in the far west for an event....The ones in Colorado that Mile-Hi puts on are awesome and I'd bet Leslie Howard would participate and help with the event if you asked her...She's becoming very good at organizing and holding race events there (PPIR) Pikes Peak etc....and I think your idea of Las Vegas was great.....that's a bit closer to the east than all the way to CA.....
You can review the Run & Gun volunteer page at this address for information if it helps...

Good luck....and if I can offer any help or ideas please call again...
George

Thanks, George, for helping me with this. Mark Webber of FFR sounds like he supports the idea. Anybody know who to get in touch with in Vegas concerning the race track?? Also lets hear some name ideas!!! Also how about combining the Knotts Berry Farm Kit Car Show with this??? Lets keep this going it starting to sound exciting!!! Thanks everybody for your input Don.
