Mike

The unit that is going in now is a " Tru-Trac" (same as Zderf's)and according to my guy here and to Dan at NWD it is the only unit that is truely "bullet proof" in a Cobra. We are going to oversized (can't tell you how much oversize right now) and 31 spline hardened axles. The old axles were 28 spline and un-hardened. Again, according these guys, who really seem to know what they are about, the 31 spline is the only way to go as is the TruTrac. They tell me that no matter what I do or how hard the car "digs in", I ain't gonna bust anything and I don't have to give it another thought. Strong words, but I have seen the cars these guys build and race which are a lot heavier and more powerful than mine and they never break in back of the transmission.

Breaking News

My grandson finished third over all in the Pinewood Derby. He got a trophy and was absolutely thrilled.N ow, in his eyes, Grampa wears blue tights and has a red cape!

Zderf

This P/O blues crap is starting to get expensive! Another $1600.00. The rear end was obviously a Junk Yard part. I have now replaced nearly everthing except for, dare I say it, the Transmission. Oh well, what the hell, it's just a hobby, right? Like you, there go the leather seats, for the next season anyway.

Happy days,

Bish
