Red face Is Summer Over?

No new postings in a long time. Did we wear ourselves out on the Leavenworh Run?

I am looking for a shorter event to try out the new rear bearings.
It turned out that on the way home for the Alki show the bearings in the rear uprights went toes up because I didn't preload them properly when I initially put the car together. Did you know that with 400+ HP you can turn steel roller bearings into dust? Well it looked more like thick mud when you mix in the bearing grease.

I have taken it for a short trial spin and am ready to venture a little further. What's going on?

Roger,
Keith V and I did a nice little 100 mile loop out of Gig Harbor last weekend. 75 degree sunny day and some nice curvy roads along the water. It was great. All in all, I think we're into the indian summer, impromtu time of year...too difficult to plan anything ahead much beyond 24 hours. The six month dump could start any minute now so seize any opportunity you can to get some seat time. Maybe we can all do a social get together late in the year...maybe an apple cup sports bar do?

Oh Slabmeister, you un-PC rascal. Shouldn't that be Native American Summer? Or considering their real origins, maybe it should be Asian immigrant Summer. But then that would probably get confused with all the other Far East folks. Of course when their ancestors made the trek here the other land mass wasn't known as Asia, so more correctly we should have some other name for it...............................Whew!!!!! No wonder I can't get into PC, it's just too da*n hard keeping up with not offending SOMEONE/ANYONE!!

Hope you're wrong about the rainy season starting soon, just pulled the forms off the garage addition foundation this morning. Need a few more weeks to get closed in before the annual watering.

Roger; looks like thin pickins for activity, the only thing I've heard about this weekend is the street show in Ol' Ballard. Doesn't start til noon (must be sponsored by Corvette guys )..........or you could do something exciting, like help me repair my sprinkler system
