Thumbs up

Hey Walt, a little ribbing for having a top is OK, we can have the last laugh as our wives were Happy , and as everybody knows that counts the most!
Zderf - you may want to make yours 2 or 3" taller as even a short guy like me has to scrunch down to get in and out.
Perry.
ps- I drive my cobra all winter so who's the real wimps?

Perry...how right you are. It's a little known literary fact that Dante's eigth ring of hell was being trapped in a small space with a wet, cold wife. I'll never forget chugging up I-90 to Snoqualmie Pass all dry and toastie warm, Denise and I drinking hot chocolate, eating oatmeal cookies and watching the rooster tail spray coming off the back of Kevin's doo-rag.

Default Oh Man I't Getting Too Deep

I'm sorry I brought this subject up now. I hope all of you can please forgive me.

I was only thinking about my dear sweet wife, and I would never have broached the stupid subject having known that certain people (who have a disorder known as “Small-Car-Big-Car Syndrome”) will find pleasure in rubbing our noses in the weakness of our wives' tolerance for freezing weather and rain. Heck I was born in Seattle and have lived here for 39+ years, and don’t even own an umbrella. As for Walt’s comments, I have you know--I’ll only place a ragtop on my Cobra under severe weather duress…or when my wife tells me to--so there!

By the Way while going up I-90 in the heavy mist (not rain), I was eating Beef Jerky and enjoying Fire Hot Jawbreakers, now that's cruising food. Oatmeal cookies have way too many crumbs and Hot Chocolate without Whiskey in it gives me a headache.

Moderators please delete this post forever so Walt will end his hideous gloating and shut up.

See ya at the Hook,
Doo-Rag Kevin

BTW, wait until you see what I pull out this year to wear for the GGPCR

Kevin... OK, OK, so I was kidding about the hot chocolate and cookies. But I must salute you for a masterful employment of the the basic male reality avoidance strategy...wuse out and then pretend you're just being gentlemanly for the wife's sake. Well played!

Default For Sale?

Walt,

Are you still trying to sell your Cobra? Or did you change your mind?

Was down at the Bay last weekend getting some warranty work done. Rag tops was a good word with the amount of rain down there!

M&M...

had this nutty idea that a V-8 powered Healey was what I wanted, came to my senses and kept the 289...no regrets!

Thumbs up Right On!

Walt,

Excellant! Good choice if I do say so.

My son will be happy to hear the news.... he loves your car! He was going nuts when he read that post that you were selling.

Keep warm & dry under that rag top!

Mike

I think I like it.... heck, the roll bar doesn't need to stay dry, but your head had best be below it when seated.

Check out the convertible top in my photo gallery.

One of the cool things about it is that you don't have to put snaps in the body. The whole top removes completely when the whether's nice or just folds down when the weathers uncertain.

Default Question to Kim

Kim,

Does you Cobra have a roll bar? Since the hotels are all reserved, I'd better get serious on finding a top. Where did you get this top?

Kevin
