Default CSX 1999 is on the way

That's right fellas, CSX 1999, the first TRUE Cobra is on it's way west from upstate New York to little old Gig Harbor. Details to follow.

CSX-1999...what if Donald Healey hadn't been in the bathroom when Carroll Shelby called.

Bish...
"Snake Oil"... hurrumpff, child's play! Let's spend 5-6 hours sometime and I'll walk you through the intricacies of MLM... I'm a published author on the subject.

Rich...
CSX 1999 is what would have happened had Donald not been on the toi-toi.
Actually, quoting from the new book, "AC Cobra, the truth behind the Anglo-American legend" by Rinsey Mills, pg. 22...
"Carroll Shelby... still nutured the idea of building his own sports car. A few years earlier he had begun to interest General Motors in co-operating on a project but this had been killed off by those in the company involved with the Corvette. More recently, he had made tentative approaches to Austin-Healey... with the idea of an American-engined version but... it had shown little or no inclination..."

It's due to arrive late this month/early Nov. If I can figure out how to embed a photo, I'll post a few.

W

You know, I really should edit my car description off to the left here... anybody know how to do that?

Ed - Congrats!

I have friend who live in University Place across the Narrows and am in town quarterly - I'd love to see your ride someday. We play golf over in Gig Harbor at the public coarse - I can't think of the name but your community is terrific.

To change the info on the left select the "user cp" button towards the center & top of page, then select Edit Profile and make the changes.

Enjoy the car!

Keep it away from Bish or he will be trying to put a Cheby under the hood!

Next time you pass through Portland on the way to the future home give me some notice and we can meet for a brew.

Mike...

Note my new profile description. Yes it's true, I've become one of the dark Bishop's minions... the legion of the damned... the coven of the bowtie! I think I might be getting a little carried away.

Still want to have that beer?

Waldo

Walt, having owned an A 100-4 in the 1960's, we can only dream what your car will do with a V8. Ours was a stage III Lemans. Congaratulations, and enjoy!!

Wink Beer my not be enough!

Walt,

I think I may need something much more compelling than beer to entice you back from the deep dark dungeon of Bishland! I will have that worked out before you call!

Rich? Keith? Jake? Perry? Someone, I need some help here!

BTW, what's the deal with a Graphics Artist not knowing how to post pictures?

J & J,

Nice to see you two are keeping tabs on things in Cobraland or is it now called Chevyland!

Jerry2...

The first car I owned as a senior in high school was a '53 100-4. I've come full circle... kind of like a salmon returning to it's native stream to spawn and die!

Of course that first one had that great lump of an industrial revolution vintage, cast iron four banger making all of 90 HP. I suspect this one will have a bit more "push". We shall see!

I recently sold my 62 Mark II Austin Healey 3000, fully original condition. Even the motor was original, you could tell from the big cloud of blue smoke that followed me around, ha ha.

I had the car over ten years. My son learned to drive in that car, lot of wonderful memories there. It was time to move on, and I bought a Cobra!

Mike,

I suspect the Cobra was nothing more than a brief foray into the light for Slab Boy and he is now returning to dark side in which he and 'da Bishop dwell.

Rich

Walt, I'm not seeing any pictures yet.
