Default Car show at Everett Boeing today

Holy crap, what a cold, dark, misty drive in this morning…reminded me of the GICR. Today is the Boeing Employees Community Fund car show at the Everett plant. When my buddies and I (the Cobra, a ’48 Anglia, and a ’51 Chevy) pulled into the parking lot at 0500, there were already 2 Ferraris, a TR and a 308, a Pantera, some misc. muscle cars, and a Harrier Jump Jet in USMC livery in attendance. If anyone at the Everett plant (or any NW Boeing facility) is reading this, c’mon out and support a worthy cause. Later, there’s going to be live music and food too.

What department does the guy with the Harrier work in? I'd like to see his garage.

Hey Rich,

There were 2 cobra replicas out at the show today. Do you own the mid-night blue cobra or the black one?

That was a nice ride. There were a ton of guys around your car trying to figure out if it was a real one. I am new to this club and am very interested in purchasing a cobra replica. Any guidance for going about it in the NW?

Thanks 7E7!

Stay tuned for local events. There's going to be a large contingent of Cobras in the car corrall at the SOVREN Historics on July 3rd down at Pacific Raceways. That would be a golden opportunity to see a bunch of Cobras from different manufacturers and ask questions. You may find this hard to believe, but we love to talk about our cars.

In fact, there's a vintage race coming up May 15-16. If you go, be sure to check out the Mark and Brian show in the pits. You won't find 2 nicer Cobras (or 2 nicer guys). Mark has a drop dead gorgeous FFR and Brian races an original 289. There's another guy down there who races a formula car, and has a Contemporary with a 351 w/Webers...very cool.

I may go on Saturday, depends on my schedule. For some reason that's a very busy weekend.

I'll head down to Kent... July 3rd is on my calendar. That will be a great opportunity. Thanks Rich!
