Default Cruise to the Olympics

Anyone interested in doing a weekend cruise in Early Sept to the Olympics and ocean? From BI to PortAngeles, then southwest for a few miles to the ocean, lunch(pot luck)at the beach, then east to Olympic National Park--then head home. We've done this trip before in the family car and it is very scenic. And the ocean is always a sight to see.

We've left here about 9 a.m. on a Sat and been back about 7p.m.(we've stopped for dinner at a great burger place on 101). Sat is usually a good day 'cuz it gives you Sun. to relax before the Mon A.m. blues.

Or It could be a full weekend cruise

Any Interest?

Man, so many places to go and so little time.

G.R., have always wanted to make that run in the Cobra. The fall is a nightmare for me, time wise, but I'll watch the developements here and see what happens.

Sounds like it could be a fun outing, and I've missed out on so much this summer. (I broke my wrist. Cast comes off in two weeks and I think I'll have enough strength in the wrist to handle a cruise by then.

Ok, wife and I are planning on going on Sat the 11th--seems like a good day to do the run. If the weather is bad we'll go on the next Sat, the 18th.
It is aprox 180 mi. rt from BI, through some awesome scenery, on nice Cobra type roads. BI to Port Angeles , up through the foothills then down to Rialto Beach, picnic lunch, then a sidetrip up to the Ho National forest, back down, then head home with a possible stop at Smitty's on 101 for a great burger for an early dinner.

If there is enough interest I'll post directions and find a place we can meet up.

GR, sorry I will miss the run. I'll be back on the East Coast by then. Are you going to make the Ranier Run? Could have a few cars from this way to caravan up. Are you gamed?

Keith glad your job deal came through. We'll try to make the Ranier run--still have to get my car back together. We had two houses in the Kitsap Parade of Homes this past weekend and it has been somewhat hectic, to say the least, to get them ready in time and 70+ hour weeks for the last month hasn't given me much spare time to work on the car. Hopefully I can get to it this weekend.
