I've only seen 1 cobra in Yakima, what a shame.

If you don't find anything give us a call. We can build a frame with changes to fit your dimentions. I have had many requests like yours and we have always found an answer. We can build custom lowered floors and deeper footwells for you or even move the rear passenger wall back. You can order in any stage right on up to Turn Key Minus. Custom work is what D&D does best, we are the U.S. distributor. We have a forum here at CC and a gallery as well. Here is the web address, give me a call if you have any questions or need additional pictures (585)223-5917.

I'd go with Mike Duell at Turn Ten.

Here is a guy with plenty of track time in a Cobra and understands the needs of most Cobra owners in either track or street environs. I know Mike, he is a straight shooter and will give the customer what he wants at a good price with no BS.

Default thanks for the info

Hey Mike!

Thanks for replying to my post on the other thread. I will check out the boys at D&D. I just realized that I seemed to be on a thread for the Texas Cobra Club. Given that you are in Rochester (nice town - am through there every August on my way to "the Glen" for the Cup race), what are some good Cobra Clubs, websites, links, forums, etc. that cater to Western New York and/or Ontario/Quebec enthusiasts?

It's interesting that D&D can do custom footboxes and the like. I'm 6'3" and about 265-270lbs. I also have a relatively long torso compared to my legs, so a standard footbox might work, but I might need some other work to avoid me starting over the windscreen.

Hey Rob,
Stop in if you get a chance. I love da Glen, great track and cool town. There use to be a forum for Upstate N.Y. guys called www.upstatecobras.com, but they disappeared last year for some reason. The FFR guys have a club in Rochester that takes in anyone with a Cobra no matter what the brand. We've had some great times going on wine tours or entering a few shows.

As for custom work, D&D is a true hot rod shop. They have a standard frame and jigs to build it, but Don will make almost anything requested. Don and I have an agreement on production of no more than 5 rollers per month so the quality will be absolutely top self. We have all kinds of requests from deeper foot boxes, to fuel cells, to full rollcages, you name it. We can trailor a roller to fit. This is a good niche for us because it is no big deal for us to halt production and make a jig change. Low numbers opens the doors for modifications. I am actually heading up to Chambly on Saturday and I could discuss some possible changes to the seating area with Don if you like. I am picking up a race prepared roller we are using as a display/demo car. I'm sending it to my painter and will have it here in about 3 weeks if you would like to take a look at a Turn Key minus. Give me a call if you need any info or you can email me here: mj_duell@turntenracing.com

P.S. John,

O.K, O.K....You can have the job! sheeesh Thanks for the compliment, see ya at da Glen. Did you get your cranky stickers? I have them everywhere including my Turn Ten truck I use to haul rollers around.
