C'mon, you can't tell me we were the only ones out there wanting to do more than 30mph. Maybe the pace car needs to go just a wee bit faster so we don't feel it necessary to lag back. From what I could tell nobody was acting stupid out there and hitting that blistering top speed of 30mph they seemingly wanted us to stay under, does absolutely nothing for those folks who actually want to see these cars go around the track.

I'm sure the Ferraris and Corvettes and Porsches were all just coasting around the track like good little children...Give me a break.

You have to remember it was suppose to be a parade lap. I'm as pissed as the rest of you, We have to remember that when we use our LOUD pedal that is all they hear and LOUD relates to speed even if we are not going the speeds they may think we are. I have to remind the wife to look at the big round dial before she hauls off and elbows me. I tell her I can go just as fast in her Vette and everything is fine, if its loud we must be going fast. This so called letter may just be hype so lets just lay back and wait. I was talking to our Snap On tool guy today which is also a Vintage racer that was racing that day,his comment was don't worry about it your club is always a crowd pleased.
