Run to Leavenworth
I have also planned a trip to Leavenworth on July 14th 2007. We will meet at the Northbend outlet mall at 9:30 AM and then venture over the pass. I have reserved a block of 10 rooms under "Cobra Club" and if you plan on attending you will need to call and reserve your room. The motel is the Quality Inn ( 1-800-693-1225) and it is the place we stayed at last year on the way back from Canada. The room rate is $85.95 and includes breakfast.
When we get into town you will be on your own and we will meet up at the Mexican place for dinner (Great Food!) We will return home on Sunday. It should be a good time. At this point nobody else has stepped up to plan any trips for the summer. I encourage everyone to start by planning a day trip and lets see what happens. I know summer gets busy and it would be nice to have some options of different Cobra Runs on different dates...My 2 Cents. Please post if you are planning on attending.
Thanks, Jake

Going to be on a 5 day run with the Mile High Cobra Club (Cruise Colorado) otherwise I'd be there. Maybe next year.

Is it open to any Cobra owners or do I need to be a member of a club? This will be my first summer with my first Cobra and would enjoy meeting other Cobra fans..............Thanks, Matt. P.S how do you deal with night security for the cars?

Matt,
First off, by posting you are a member of the club. Welcome! You are welcome to join us on the trip. The bad news is that the new guys get night watch duty. Just kidding. We have not had any problems on the over night trips that I have been on in the past. Most people bring a car cover, not so much for protection from the elements as it cuts down on the attention that the car draws. A battery cut off switch also brings peace of mind when I am sleeping.

The 14th sounds good to us. At our stage of life we don't have a schedule.

Jake,
Eileen and I are in.
Matt,
Welcome to the club. Jake is correct, once you post your a member. If you plan on the Leavenworth trip, let me know if you want to meet in the I-5/Lakewood area and we can cruise to North Bend together. Also if you don't have a car cover, I have an extra you can borrow.

Sounds good so far, but I have to wait for a week or so to see if we can make that date.

I need to check dates on a fishing trip. If they dont conflict. I will meet up with you in Leavenworth. I assume your planning to go over Snoqualmie.

Thanks for the friendly responses. I can't wait to get out this summer and meet other cobra owners. From the overall posts I have read it seems like a close knit friendly group. I will have to verify a few things for leavenworth but I will be watching for other posts for weekend or day trips. Thanks all, Matt

Thought it would be a good time to confirm who will be attending this run, as we are just a few weeks away. So please post if you are planning on going and make your motel reservations.
Thanks, Jake

Kristen and I will be there. She is having out-patient surgery the day before so she may be taking it slow during the weekend. What a great place to relax and recover.
