				 July 4th Northwest Historics
Just got this today, I am in Kansas and will not be back in time to go to the meeting so do we have someone that can attend this meeting. I am sure they will be talking about the "few incidents last year". We really need some one there so we are not voted off the island.
I am also unable to run with the tickets this year. The house sold so I will be retiring in April, but still plan on being back here in July. Bills email is at the bottom so who ever takes this on will have to contact him and tell him you are the contact person.

Fred

 Hi all,

It's time to start planning for the 2008 Pacific Northwest Historics. The event will be held July 4 - 6 this year. Cost is the same as last year at $25 per day or $40 for the 3-day event. Car corral parking will be available all three days. Preregistration is required for the corral. I have attached information of this year's event.

I have scheduled a meeting with the car club representatives 7:00 - 9:00 PM February 13 in the Children's Hospital boardroom. As you enter the hospital grounds off of Sandpoint Way, there isll be a parking garage on you left. Pull in there and walk across the street to the Giraffe Entrance. There is an information desk inside the hospital where you will be able to get directions to the boardroom if you haven't been there before. Car Corral specific information will be available at the meeting and will be distributed via email shortly after the meeting.

We haven't had one of these get togethers in a few years and there have been some changes at the track and a few "incidents" last year that need to be discussed. I am planning a few minor changes in the registration process this year that may require some changes in how your club approaches its registration. Your input is greatly desired.

I hope that I have included the correct people on this email. If you know of any other clubs that might be interested, please feel free to pass this note along. On a similar note, if the responsibilities in your club have changed, forward this to the proper person and let me know who that is (along with their email address).

Hope you can make it to the meeting.

DaleSorry to hear you won't be here for the 4th, but the bottom line is if someone doesn't take this in hand NO ONE will participate unless they join in with another club.

Lets just say we got a little squirrely coming off some of the corners, like the one in front of the grand stand where all the officals were standing. |

 Fred,
Other than being allowed to drive 50 mph on a beat up race track, what does or is the Historics and how does this effect us?

steve, the track is has been totally repaved & the back corners reconfigured.

what are the historics about. fast cars from the our racing past.

last year i got a ride in a 60's lola t70. the gal driving passed all the slow cars & hammered the thing for me. what a ride! too bad they only cost $300k to own.

you get to be up close & personal with a bunch of vintage racing cars plus they have hot rods, sports cars of many different markees to wish you owned.

I was one of the squirely ones last year. I just can not control my right foot when I get out on a race track. I will probably go to the historics but not take my car. I will go to the mustang show track day in July.MadDog
