I was a registered Republican my entire life and quit the party this past year because they spend and waste money just like the Democrats. Lump this together with not securing our borders, giving in on a home bailout to people that over bought and were not honest on loan docs, taking away more of our second amendment rights etc... and I can no longer be a Republican. I am a conservative, a Gulf War veteran, a former law enforcement officer and I no longer relate to the party. Lets hope for an alternative in the future because the Democrats are worse.

No kidding... I was a Young Republican in college, worked on Bush I campaign and did a stint with the CIA. What the current administration has done over the last few years is criminal and is a complete slap in the face to the real Republican Party. What happened to financial conservatism and less government? We spend like lunatics and have more governmental agencies than ever.. A complete waste of money. I believe in a strong military, but I don't subscribe to a war in Iraq to protect the lasting interests of the Bush's family friends in Saudi Arabia. 3000 brave soldiers have lost their lives to support our thirst for Mid-East oil and Osama Bin laden is still on the loose.. That is what we get for leaving the most powerful office in the world to a dim witted, AWOL, drunken, Born Again, not intellectually curious, closed minded buffoon.
