Default OK....what do I look for ?

I'm going to picking up a new Superformance MK3 in Reno this month...based upon what I have read in here I should...open every door...switch every switch... make sure the brakes are working as designed....check the ride heigth , should be 27"...make sure there is no ground connected to the radiator... make sure the speed o cable is the right size and length so the speedo doesn't bounce make noise...check the fluids...go over every inch of the body ....check the wheels for any damage and...warm it up and run and stop it hard.. let it sit and check for leaks...and.. ??? Thanks in advance for any advice...

I would spend a few days there and put a few hundred miles on it before you load it in the trailer for the ride home.

After all, it's not like you are close to any dealers where you live.

Congrats. on getting your new car. Did you mean "make sure there is a ground connected to the radiator"? Your radiator should DEFINATELY be grounded or you will be replacing it on a regular basis.

Yes...I should have typed " make sure the radiator bung is grounded to the frame ground " apparently with at least a 10 or 14 ga wire...

Jeez, the guy says it is Brand New!

Why should he have to check out every inch before driving it?

Is their quality control that bad?

Like Silverback sez, I am a long way from a dealer and I suspect any assembled car will likely have something to tight or to loose...
