Imkie car show

This coming weekend is the Len Imkie car show in Dublin.
It is a great show with lots of cars and spectators. I will be attending at least some of each day. Last year Frank and I both won trophies. It was a good time with lots of cool cars . It would be cool if we overran the place with Cobras ( well I can dream ) But in all honesty if you can make it, it will be a good time .

Aaron,

This show always seems to sneak up on me. Is it this weekend, 6-7th, or 13-14th? Is there an information website? I am planning to attend this year, so maybe we can "reserve" some space for all the Cobras that show up. If you have any more info, please pass it on!

I will be there for the Friday night cruise, Saturday will be questionable at this point. Will be a last minute decision. Is it arranged so we can all park together? Whoever gets there first, can you pick an area and keep some space? I emailed the show director, but have not yet gotten a responce.

The Immke show is a major show, with classes for everything imaginable. The Cobras are usually put in C-23. A large and nice grassy area with a few trees to hide under. If someone gets there early enough they can usually "try" and save some spots for other cars. BUT to do this someone has to be there early, like 8AM on Sat. Once you enter though, it's a little hard to come and go as you wish. You never know when the Judges are going to show up. Friday night is much more informal and laid back.

Bottom line, it's a great time, and a great show!

I believe it was at this show that U and I first met. You had built a Classics and it was the raffle car. I think maybe it was around 1994. I'm going to try for Friday but Sat/Sun I'll be in Canton.

Ok, final role call. Who's going, and when??

I hope to get there around 5-6 Friday night. Not sure about Saturday yet. Do we all want to park together, or do our own thing?

I'm open for any ideas, where to park, etc..

I'll check back here before I leave.

If you're going to enter the show, you need to register, they will then put you in the specialty car field / area. Ar least that's the way they used to do it...back in the old days.

Jerry, How the hell do you remeber back that long?

I was planning to sow up around 5:30or 6:00
If there is space hold a couple of spots I am sure that there a few that will show that are last minute people.

Not sure if I'll be back for the show on Saturday. I understand tonight is the cruise, less formal...ie: more fun!

If I get there first, I'll try to hold a few spots, likewise if you arrive first. I hope we have a few show up. See you there!
