Double Venom 09-20-2003 08:44 PM

Casaleenie,
It's little Kentucky just south of Lancaster, Oh. 40 minutes from Columbus, and beautifull any time of the year, let alone in the fall.
DV..maybe, just maybe.

Rick ~ if I recall, we were about a week early last year for the foilage. The Hocking Hills website lists October 11th as their "Fall Leaf Display" http://www.hockinghills.com/

I could be in for the weekend of the 11th. It should not be snowing by then ( I hope )

Al, casaleenie, Hocking hills = great roads and beautiful scenery! Even Road and Track brings cars to this area of Ohio to run them.

Mid-October does look like the peak time at this point.

Date, Oct. 11. Rain date Oct. 18. This is a Cobra cruise, although you can come and enjoy in something else, so we want it to be a nice day!

Tenitive. I am thinking meeting at the lodge for lunch and gathering, about an hour long cruise of the area, stop at some point of interest for a while, more cruise, another stop, cruise to dinner, that kind of thing. Thoughts.

Frank you had some good maps/routes last year. Lets talk. Did you see that Cleveland Benedictine whipped up on Bishop Watterson?

Note and details to all to follow!

Rick,

What kind of turnout do you usually get for the Hocking cruise?
What kind of work schedule are you on?
Did you see that 64 289FIA edge out the Daytona Coupe??

rdorman 09-22-2003 08:21 AM

Al

I think we had eight cars last year for the first cruise.

What do you mean 'what kind work schedule am I on'?

Yes I did see the FIA car beat the Coupe, and the Coupe had Derek Bell behind the wheel! That is saying something!

Rick:
I still have the maps! Maybe we can get together to plan the route(s) and stops. Any idea about a place for dinner? I've got some info on that as well. Ther are a couple of family type restaurants in Logan.

I guess Derek Bell was it little too cautious driving all that money..
What's the car worth?? Millions...?

rdorman 09-22-2003 10:19 AM

Seems to me that last Coupe that went on the block went for 4.5 Million.

Change!

Addition to the Cruise

OSU also plays Wisconsin that night at 9. If any one is interested after the cruise, my place for turn the Badgers into road kill party. Stay over and don't worry about the long drive home. Book a room on Lane Ave. and you won't want to go home!

Rick, Frank, et al;

The Mrs., little D, and myself may tag along in the Focus. Might be a good time to show the little guy a few Cobras! Little D has a knarly off-road stroller, just right for some of those trails down there. Can a Briggs&Stratten mini Cobra be far behind???:D

Time for a new Cobra there Dave! Everyone is welcome. Even in a Focus! You can be our back marker ;o)

We where up at Cedar Point a couple of weeks ago. They have one of those kiddy car tracks with the metal divider down the middle that keeps you on the track. Get this, the two types of cars you could choose from where vettes and Cobras! Heh Mike, They had one with your color scheme. Where was my camera when I needed it! So there it is, a briggs and stratton Cobra.

Ok, looking for a few volunteers for a late night run to Cedar Point. Must have a pick-up truck, and be willing to take risks...:3DSMILE:
