Default Broke down in Toledo-need FFR elec. fan.

Hi guys, My dad just drove in with his FFR cobra and needs help ASAP. The FFR electric fan died and shorted out a few wires. He needs a new fan before Sunday, does anyone have one that he can buy or know of a suitable replacement ? We are willing to travel 100 miles if you have one. The wires that were affected are in a bundle in the engine compartment, one was burned through and others had the insulation melted. These have been "road-side" repaired and it looks like the only wire that wasn't fixed or possibly found, is the one for the power to the headlights, which don't work now. The only thing that he wants is a fan right now. I live in Lambertville which is a Toledo suburb to the north, actually one mile into Michigan. Can anyone from the area help ? Thanks, Jim

I know when my last one broke a fin, I went to Jegs and they sold the exact replacement. Also try Summit. Hope this might help.

Jeff, thanks, Question , where is the nearest Summit or Jegs ? We have looked at two 16" radiator fans locally and they will not mount on the shroud as easily as the FFR one. Is there a Jegs in this area ? Thanks again for your reply. Jim

Summit's main warehouse is in Akron, the phone number is 1 800 230 3030. Jegs main warehouse is in Columbus , the phone number is 1 800345 4545. Try those numbers and see if they have a store near you. What part Michigan are you located in ? I just read your post about where you are located. It is a 1 and 45 minutes to Jegs on 11th ave. { north Columbus} I am not sure about Akron.

Just make sure you take your old fan in with you so you can make sure that you are getting the right one. That would stink if you drove that far and got the wrong one.

It is not a bad job replacing one , it just never happens at home though. You might try ffcobra.com for someone local. It might save you a long drive.
