Default Rt. 66 Cruise

Some of us out here in NE Oklahoma are planning a Rt. 66 Cruise, so far the details we have are:

1. Date: April 16th.
2. Leave from Freddies BBQ in Sapulpa
3. Meeting Time: TBD
4. Cruise on Rt. 66 to Pops Soda Fountain and the Round Barn in Arcadia
5. Probably return home the same way
6. Should be about 220 miles or so

My wife & I did this cruise in the fall, we stopped at many Rt. 66 attractions along the way like museums, old gas stations, diners, etc.. It was a great drive on good roads.

I'll post more details as it gets closer.

Randy

Wish I could make this, it sounds like a blast, but I'll be at a race in New Orleans that weekend.

No problem, have fun in New Orleans.

I want to plan our summer cruise out towards your way, I'll keep you posted.

It was a great drive when my wife & I took it last year, and we were in her convertible due to a threat of rain. I'm sure it'll be even better in a Cobra!

I'd love to drive the entire Rt. 66 route, now that would be something! I bet you had a great time & saw a lot of neat things along the way.

Default Rt. 66 Cruise date change

The date for the Rt. 66 Cruise has changed to April 23rd.

The final details are:

1. Date: April 23rd.
2. Leave from Freddies BBQ in Sapulpa at 9:00 am sharp
3. Cruise on Rt. 66 to Pops Soda Fountain and the Round Barn in Arcadia
4. We plan on making some random stops along the way
5. Can come home the same way or jump on I-44 & get home faster
6. Should be about 220 miles or so if we come home on Rt. 66

Looking forward to this one, gonna be a blast!

Randy

Awesome, I'm going to try to make this then, and might even be able to get my fiance out there if the weather is nice.

Great! If you can make it, we'll just have to decide on where to meet you & your finance. Maybe we can meet at Pops at a certain time? Let me know what you think.

See ya,
Randy

If the weather allows we can just meet you at Freddies BBQ at 9 do the cruise, then head back home after that. We shall see and make plans closer to time.

Just a reminder that the Rt. 66 Cruise is still on for this Saturday.

Looks like there's a 30% chance of rain Saturday, but hopefully that'll change by the end of the week.

Stayed tuned..............................
