Tommy Bar is the rod used with the jack handles. You'd have to be extremely lucky to find an LJ22 jack anywhere. Acton has reproduced them and has them on his site for sale. You can also search for a 12DL jack but even those are becoming rare. Most will also have an "L" top bracket. I've been looking for a 12DL for months now for a friends car and haven't found one. Jack handles are also on Actons site but can be found used as well. Everything will show on eBay eventually.

I've been looking, watching, searching, so on for over 5 years. I've only seen a couple true BDS screwdrivers for sale. Like I was saying before, you might want to look at a vintage Stanley and paint the handle like the BDS. It's A LOT cheaper way to get a similar look.

Hi Blackjack. Nick at Acton Cobra may still have some brake bleeders or you may need to wait until he has enough requests to form another quantity order.
The Tommy Bar was simply a rod that is used as a lever: sometimes in a spark plug socket but most often forming the Tee at the end of the jack handle so there's some leverage as you turn the jack handle to raise the jack. I have some screwdrivers that can be used to replicate the originals. I found some NOS BDS Phillips end screwdrivers in Australia that I bought. The ends can be cut off and reshaped into a blade end. Then, you can paint the handle as per the originals. PM me if you want more info and would like to buy one. Cheers Greg |

The Tommy bar is actually hard to use in the jack handle! You'd think they could have designed it with an "L" shape to the bar that would have made it more mechanically correct when used. But... that's the way they were, so that the way it has to be now.
You'll see what I mean when you actually put it all together and try it out. Larry |

I believe that screwdriver to be restored. Looking closely, the BDS decal doesn't appear to have the bottom of the triangle, though it's a little hard to tell from just the photo.
In the original BDS catalog, it looks like the decal has the bottom of the triangle but not the top. Or am I seeing things? Larry |

Yeah, it is really hard to tell on the "hand" photo about the triangle. I've studied it over and over again! Same with the catalog pics. Jim Maxwell is a Cobra tool expert. I should ask him about the triangle.
