Not necessarily a modern air cleaner. I bought one of these 1967 oval air cleaners in 1986 from Vintage Ford and Mustang in Phoenix. Mine had a dual-quad base. I was told they could be bought at the dealer as dress-up kits.
I used to have a catalog from 1967 that pictured them. So not modern, but not originally equipped on Mustangs or Cobras. They reproduce them now along with the valve covers.
Yes, nice looking car. I would love to vintage race that car.

The air cleaner logo came out in the 80's, if it was a true early car it would not have the later nose emblem either. I'll concur with Ned on this one. An ACE in Cobra clothing

if you would like to split hairs, I'll make the following statement with 100% accuracy:
"The valve covers and the air cleaner are not originals from the 60's", neither is this an original AC Cobra, but a made up AC Ace.
