Default 289 Air Cleaner on eBay

Saw this and thought I'd pass it along.

The 289 air cleaner is from a Falcon sprint (it is not the same as the 289 K code ). Several years ago I bought a repo and it compares exactly to one off an original car. I think they might have been a limited run and I'm not sure they are readily available now. It was rather expensive- something like $150, but that beats $1000! I wonder if the EBAY one is one of the repos. There were only a couple parts places that sold them.

I have an original one I would part with if someone thinks they need it. It is the real deal. Contact with a potential buyer ensued, I sent pictures and was told they weren't interested because it had been rechromed (many years ago), it is gorgeous.

The air cleaner was from the HiPo Fairlane, as was a lot of the stuff used on the Cobra engine. May be Falcon Sprint too, I don't know. It was also available over the counter if I'm not mistaken, as part of a dress up kit.
I have a high quality reproduction air cleaner but the only thing it's lacking is the detents for the top wing nut. I've seen only a couple for sale in the past few years but I think a grand is a bit much.

Rick, what do you want for yours?
