Likely that is a 38/40 amp unit. You can build it 60 amps using stock Ford pieces in that case, higher with aftermarket parts.
If it is a reman from a parts store it will likely have VERY cheap bearings in it. Worthwhile to have them changed to some quality bearings. We could buy both front and rear bearings for under $3.00 until recently. If you rev your engine the cheap-os will not last. Spend $20.00 and eliminate a possible failure.
