I should tell you that I have friends in heavy duty construction. They have the 400 ton crane required for getting the Cobra out of the quarry. They looked at the job and agree; nothing but a 400 ton crane will do the job. We will be going there this weekend to drain the quarry and pull out the Cobra. I'll let you know how it goes on Monday.

My funds to buy tickets continues to grow. I going to end up with two priceless Cobras. I'll have the one I can build from the VIN plate and one from the Cobra still in the quarry.

In case nobody picked up on it Mashpee is on Cape Cod not near it. I have family there. His geography helps prove he's a scammer.

Sounds like one of those stupid a$$ reality shows that you find on all of the TV channels these days, hmmmm what will they call it "Surviving The Snake In The Black Lagoon", "I Lost My Wallet To The Snake That Lives In The Black Lagoon"?! Next thing you know someone is going to find the VIN plate in the La Brea tar pits!

Isn't this con artist breaking some sort of law?

Should this be forwarded to the AG where he lives?

Jaydee 10-14-2015 04:28 AM

One great scam that went around. Was a guy asking for $40 to let you know how to get rich quick with just a post box number. Everybody received a simple note, saying' just place an ad asking for $40 to get rich'.:D

Yes and no.

This is an example of "Darwin" in action. Rather than lions removing weak gazelles, he is removing $500 from people who should not have $500!:D

Blue66 10-14-2015 06:00 AM

ok.. I understand the tickets are all gone. I did bite for a LOT of them. I am only an hour away. He is goin to take me to the dive site so I can see the car. I got a nice Browniematic underwater camera to show you guys its REAL !!! Can't wait !!

Here is the information you need, go for it

Johannes Tomana is the current Attorney General, sworn in together with the Prime Minister of Zimbabwe on 3 March 2009.

twobjshelbys 10-14-2015 10:33 AM

Of course noone noticed that he found an original Shellby. I wonder what one of those looks like?

LMH 10-14-2015 11:17 AM

Was it ever decided that the alleged vin tag belonged to a Cobra?
Larry

Bernica 10-14-2015 11:36 AM

Well, so far we have a VIN tag that we haven't seen and also a car that we haven't seen.
That pretty much sums it up I think.

Paul F 10-14-2015 12:06 PM

Be patient. My friends are going to drain the quarry this weekend. We'll see what's down there.

Hey! I resemble that remark.

I wonder since the scuba diver found a pile of cars, would any of them be a 1962 Ferrari 250 GTO?

Screw the Cobra, I'd buy the VIN for one of, if not the most, expensive cars in the world. Like $15,000,000-$25,000,000?

Ferrari ain't making any copies of those are they?

You guys can forget the raffle, I was at the quarry yesterday with airbags in tow

https://chivethethrottle.files.wordp...pg?w=500&h=375

Did not need a 100 Ton crane once I got it to the surface. Only needed a 20 Ton crane.

Just turned down $5,000,000 cash for the car (with VIN intact)

rodneym 10-14-2015 12:40 PM

What ever happened to that Kirkham?
Did it ever pop up for sale?

That's a nice find. But that's not the one being raffled off. The VIN tag was already cut out of the one being raffled. Just how many Cobras have been lost?

It turns out my guys had some spare time. So they went to the quarry with the 400 ton crane. It turns out you don't need a 400 ton crane to lift a Cobra. But they got an idea to cut the stone around and under the quarry and turn it into a stone bucket. They lifted the entire quarry and turned it over like a bucket. JACKPOT! Here's what they found:

The real original Easyrider chopper
The missing 1956 Chrysler Norsemen
James Dean's 1955 Porsche
The 1955 Lincoln Futura
James Bond's 1955 Aston Martin
and of course, the Cobra with the missing VIN tag.

We haven't figured out what to do with them. The cold water left them in terrific shape. We'll let you know as this progresses. For more information on these legendary cars:

Morrison's GT500 still missing though.

And no bones or teeth from Hoffa?
