Could some one please provide me a picture of the cut-out done on original 289 Cobras

is this, perhaps, the LUCAS DB10 relay which does that?
Those plans can be found on the web. Let me know If you can't find it.

Firstly, did you check all ground connections?

The Lucas DB10 operates the turn and brake signals.
