Oil filler cap

I'm trying to complete a very period correct 427 side oiler for my upcoming ERA build.

I have maybe a petty question. The oil filler pipe cap...should it be chrome or would black be more correct? And what about the red motorcraft decal...with or without?

Can't seem to find any original Shelby pictures to compare.
