Footbox vent

Does anyone have any photo's of the footbox vents on an original Cobra - anything that is visible from the engine compartment.

There may be some in the postings but I don't know what I am looking for.

Maybe it's just the 'hot', relatively speaking, climate I'm in but the foot box cool air thing doesn't work for me! I had in my Austin Healey 3000 and like my current replica the air coming into the footbox area is like a 'blast furnace'. The ducting gets WAY overheated from header and engine compartment temperature and the air gets hot enough to literally burn your feet. I not only leave the trap doors shut where the air enters the footbox I disconnected the ducting so there is no way any air can even get in there!

My guess would be the COMPETITION cars did not use this ducting?

They should call them furnace doors.

If you really want cold air, use the brake duct vents in the nose; and lots of tubing.
