dash layout
That is a "Street" dash layout.
This thread is about "Competition" layout.
Nice to see the difference.

Jay's car is a converted street car.

Sal is correct it has a street car dash, thankfully. The ones in the link are a mile off they have that awful shaped glovebox that someone mistakenly released to the market. The one Joey shows has the dropped center a la 289 dash. The SC's share some common dimensions with the street cars I can help if anyone needs some dimensions. Hey Warren you know about that little devil on one shoulder, now lets see I had Jeff on one side and who on the other........

Larry looks good BTW. Hey a dumb dash switch question. Fuel was an on/off or a two position? Does it switch between two pumps for a main/reserve or a valve between them?

Fuel was a single switch. The engine runs off the mechanical pump, then when you run out of gas, you flip the switch to the electrics for the reserve. You would also want to use the electrics for racing as they have a higher capacity than the mechanical.

Hi Sal...
...kinda low mileage for an unrestored original, eh?
Also, first Comp or S/C I've seen with Water Temp not right in front of the driver's watchful eyes.
Plus that dash vinyl has survived in miraculous form....
:p

...and the boys at AC sure gave that one an extra dose of cowl rivets.

If you mean me, I do not know for sure. I would only guess on-off for one pump. Who can confirm?

Dick (lamaluv),
Where did you source those floor mats? I've been looking for some just like that.
