I found, while bolting a XJ diff in an original type frame with the brackets to mount the lower Jag control arms, that those brackets sit exactly at the frame end piece. I drilled 5/8 holes and pushed the long shafts through.
You may not want to weld additional brackets for the front for an orig car, but I did for mine.
