Post Targa California Rally April 7 - 9

The third annual Targa California Rally is scheduled for April 7 – 9, 2011. The Targa California is open to all 1975 and older sports and classic cars, and will tour some of California’s finest roads. All Cobra replicas, recreations and continuations are welcomed by the organizers! The National Auto Sport Association (NASA) is one of the principal sponsors of the event, which will start just north of Los Angeles. The tour will then wind its way over and through mountain passes, canyons, and plateaus; up through parts of the central valley, then out to the coast. We drive as far north as the Carmel / Monterey area with stops for unique interests and lunch. Challenging roads with spring time vistas await. There are no check points, time limits, or trophies. Just plain fun camaraderie with 124 other car teams. The headquarters for Thursday and Friday nights is in Paso Robles. More information can be found at http://www.nasaproracing.com/event/1220 or by emailing targacalifornia@gmail.com

Definitely better weather on this coast! Last year's event was great - a few photos are posted here if anyone is interested:

I'M THERE, count me in! As soon as I find a Navigator, I'll send in my registration.

It's nice to see that the spirit of the "No Frills Iron Bottom Motoring Tour" is still alive. I would prefer some form of competition however.
