My sons and I were at the Pittsburgh Vintage Grand Prix on Saturday (7-18) and saw some great cars. I'm posting a picture of my two sons in front of a very nice Superformance that was in the American car field.
For those of you who have never been to this event, it is truly one of the best events in the country. There are vintage races all day long along with antique and classic cars of any make and model that you can imagine. Admission & parking are free! There is even free food from a local supermarket chain that only asks for a donation in return.
My boys and I are going to embark on a journey of building one of these very soon.

This is the best kept secret out there. Tons of vintage racers. If you made it down to the paddock you would have seen some real gems, 1937 Deusenburg Indy car, vintage sprint cars, 3 wheeled Morgans, etc. They don't let the big bore cars run thu the park, you would have had to go to BeaveRun last weekend to see the big boysrun.
Mr. Bruce we are going to have to goto Beaver Run next year.....I have heard that it is pretty cool.
Here's another pic of my boys and the same car from the back. There is a Starsky and Hutch Grand Torino in the background. I used to deliver pizza in one just like that.....nobody got cold pizza with that baby!
