For Sale - TRIGOs with Goodyear Slicks
 *** SOLD ***
 FOR SALE:

Four (4) Trigo Wheels with Four (4) mounted/balanced Goodyear Racing Slicks

 $1400

 (was $1600)
(adapters and knock-off spinners not included)
These wheels and tires are in great shape and perfect for Open-Track sessions with your Cobra. If you already have Trigos on your Cobra, then these will fit perfectly - just knock off your street wheels/tires and knock these on. It's just that easy!

These tires are from Roger Kraus, so you know that they are "right" for your Cobra. If you currently Open-Track your Cobra on street tires, then this is the single best upgrade to enhance your experience on the track. There is nothing like driving on real racing slicks on the track. And they look so good. I even hand painted the lettering.

The wheels are 4 years old, and there's no road rash on the edges. They are balanced with the weights mounted inside, yet near the center to clear both the main and parking brake calipers. There is one slight paint blemish on one of the rear wheels, where the paint has peeled a bit near the value stem (see photo in my gallery).
Sizes:
Trigo front: 7.5 x 15"
Goodyear front: 26.5 x 8.0 - 15"

Trigo rear: 9.5 x 15"
Goodyear rear: 26.5 x 10.0 - 15"

The Trigo's are dual pattern 5 Pin Drive (see photo below).

The Goodyear Slicks have only ten 20-minute sessions of use, and they are worn evenly. I ran them at equal number of sessions at Sear's Point (clockwise) and Thunderhill (counter-clockwise). The wear indicators show that they have probably another twenty or so 20-minute sessions left, depending upon driving style, of course.
PRICE: $1400 (was $1600)

Will deliver local to the SF Bay Area (or arrange for mutual pick/deliver throughout Northern CA). Shipping outside of this area will be the buyer's responsiblity.

Please see more photos in my gallery. Last edited by Randy Rosenberg; 10-25-2004 at 01:08 PM..

 Mr. Rosenberg.
Thank you for your quick response. Unfortunately my Trigo's are 6 pin. We could have struck a deal. I wish you luck with your sale.

 Thanks Rob...
The tires are the Goodyear Racing Slicks from Roger Krause (see "C " style here: http://www.rogerkrausracing.com/cobra.html ).

Here's a photo of the tread:

They are bias ply tires with very stiff sidewalls, even at relatively low air pressures - I ran them around 19 to 21 lbs, depending upon track/ambient air temperature.

The tread is significantly stickier that "regular" street tires, and they have to heat up a bit for they get really sticky. Even cold, when I roll them around, they pick up little rocks and pebbles. And these tires are not "cut" for wet weather driving. In other words, there are no grooves in the tread to channel away water.

Driving on them is kinda like driving on "rubber cement" kinda. These slicks are designed for Road Racing vs. Drag Racing. Drag racing tires require a much softer sidewalls (for flexing) as well as a soft tread for traction, however a tread compound that doesn't require much heating in order to hook up. Road racing tires have very stiff sidewalls.

Hope this helps...

Thanks,
Randy R...

Are your wheels still for sale? I'm interested. I'll have to call my shop to double-check the backspacing on my current wheels, but I assume that these wheels have the std. 3 1/2 " backspacing on all four, correct?

I just got the call back from my shop, my wheels are 4 1/2" backspacing. Sorry, but these won't work for me. If I find someone who could use these wheels I'll send him/her your way. They are a good deal.

				 Looking for a buyer...
 *** TRIGOS w/GOODYEARS ARE SOLD ***
The good news is that after 6 months the CA DMV is willing to issue a title for my SPF
The bad news is that they want more money
So, "to the top" we go with this advertisement...

Thanks,
