				 cobra valve covers 351 C
I would like to find a pair of finned aluminum valve covers for 351 C that say COBRA or SHELBY on them. I have not been able to find these and I can't pay a fortune. Any suggestions are appreciated !!
 Thanks, Byron

I have been looking also was told there were never made for the 351-C.
you would think there would be. there were 2 or 3 years ford had the 351 CJ.
But I have been lied to befor.
I would like to have a set too so if you do please let me know.

 Bill,
I have seen a pair that says COBRA on them and a pair that said SHELBY sold over the weekend on e-bay for a crazy high price of over $300.00 and they were very stained. They have been made for sure! I guess I will use a set that has 351 cleveland on them. Better than the M/T that are on the car now. If I find any I will advise and you please do the same.

 Thanks,
 Byron

They have some nice Ford Racing ones on Summit Racing. If you do a photo search with "351", there are several pics of members 351C motors with both Cobra and Shelby valve covers. I would think you could contact Carroll Shelby to find out where to buy the Shelby valve covers. http://www.carrollshelbyent.com/engine_index.cfm

Westcott cobra has the Shelby valve covers on his 351C. Check out his photo album and send him an email to find out where he got them.

i have a 351 cleveland and i have searched hii and low. i have yet to find a pair of finned black and aluminun valve covers to match the cobra air cleaner. they just don't have them for a 351C. the closet i havce been able to get was from cj pony's and they a re black wrinkle with raise clean aluminum fins, but they say " ford racing " on them, not cobra. http://stores.ebay.com/CJ-Pony-Parts-Inc

Thanks Guys,I am gpoing to get in touch with price motorsports this week and check them out.
Also, Tchrome, what year is your NAF car? That is what my cleveland is in. What type of rear suspension is in yours? Mine has a 3 link with a panhard bar. Two lower bars running forward and one top link going from the top of the centersection to the rear and attaching to the frame. It is only about a foot long. I have never seen this type before but it does hook up well. DSC motorsports has a nice valve cover that says 351 Cleveland. Yoy might liike those.

Later and thanks again too all !!

 tchrome,
Mine was built in 85. Does yours have the type or rear suspensuin that I described? Also, my cars body is a cross between the 427 sc abd the FIA car. Could you post or send some pics of yours so I can compare? I will send some to you of my car. My e- mail is: pwrinkle25@comcast.net . Also, Tony D'Branda has the best price on the cast, finned 351 cleveland valve covers. Their web site is cobranda.com I think or you can just punch in cobranda on askjeeves.
Later, Byron

 Hi Guys,
I have checked all of the suggested sources and no one has these covers. I am going to keep my eyes open for a set to restore so if anyone comes across any plese let me know and maybe we can work something out.
Thanks to all of you again !!

If you really want to get creative you could take a pair of the cast covers, either with it without the fins and cut a window in the top and then from a set of "Donor" SBF Windsor covers cut the "Cobra" or "Cobra Powered By Ford" phrase and very accurately trim it for a tight fit and heli arc it in place from the backside.

I took a pair of polished finned aluminum covers that have a rectanglular opening in the middle bewteen the fins and glued the powered by 427 emlems. You could put a shelby emblem there or have something made up on the computer.

 Byron,
If you can't pay a fortune, don't look at the set someone has on eBay right now. They appear to be NOS Shelby script cleveland valve covers. Buck up though, they show up used from time to time.

Hi Guys,I went ahead and purchased a pair of Ford Racing cast aluminum, black with silver fins. They are going to be just fine. I am going to sell this car as soon as I get my S/V car with the FE finished. I have some really cool Holman-Moody valve covers for that.
 Thanks again to everyone .
