How do I get my Cobra titled with the replica year of 1965?

I'm going to purchase a Cobra and in order to pass emissions I need the title to say 1965, not 2006. How do I do that? Are there any services out there that will circumvent the whole 2006 thing? Can anyone help me? Has anyone successfully had the replica date put on the title? Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

In the state of NY you can no longer use any legal loopholes to get your car registered as a "1965" anything. You must go through the proper registration methods in order to title your car or you risk the forfeiture or confiscation of your car and a $10,000 fine.

I would buy one already completed, one that the title already reads "1965" and you would be good to go. Just a thought.
