last year, i got to the San Clemente DMV around 6 AM and there were a handful of people ahead of me. by the time it opened, the line had grown considerably. San Clemente DMV knows what the process is and was very accomodating to those who came early.

I'm off to sleep before the hoop jumping begins. I'm not planning on getting there until 7:00 or so. The DMV here seems to just group them all together anyway.

I really wish I was doing it again this year. Best of luck to everyone, but I know you won't need it.

The number they gave me was 157. It took 12 minutes to get the phone call going since it was busy.

Congratulations! Someone said something about the DMV only issuing 3 certs per call. Anyone run in to that today?

Got it done. Walked out at 9:10 with #336.

There were 5 of us there and we got all 5 numbers on one call.

13 of us at the San Clemente DMV. The office was well organized. They started calling at 8:00 AM but they didn't get through on the phone until about 9:20 AM. We all got numbers, but there were apparently only 15 numbers left in the state at around 9:40 AM. We were really sweating the wait, but everyone got a number. We were out by 11:00ish.

Thanks to Rokindad for stopping by and bringing his CSX and the coffee. Now I just need to fix all my oil leaks so I can get to the BAR!

I posted it on another thread, but the DMV website has not been updated for 2009. It still shows 2008 info. I wonder if some numbers are left for 2009.

Jim,
Glad to hear you made it OK. As for the BAR, they know it's an FE....they all leak.

Hello All,

Sounds like all of the people that needed the SB100 for 2009 got it done ---Congrats to all. I have heard from several guys from the BACC group and taking the time to pay all fees ahead of time, get the forms correct and then show up early did the trick, it is a simple process that requires following the procedures outlined by the DMV.

Tony R.
