Run n gun 2012 october 19-21-be there!

More details to come but put on your calendars the 2012 Run N Gun at Hallett Motor Racing Circuit. All your Cobra, GT 40, and Daytona Coupe buddies will be there.

If you have never made a Run N Gun event before this is the year you need to plan on attending.

Classes, awards, and agenda will soon follow.

Sweeeet I love that track didnt know it was going to be ther Clois wow I better get to work on those brake ducts ;)

Clois, Best of luck with Run n Gun. I always had a blast at the event. You and your team are total class.
I Don't know if I can make it, but I am going to try. It's always a challenge in the fall as it is the busy time for my business.
Plus, my new car is going to be fun but not real fast. A stripped down old Miata, bolt in a tubular frame that will reinforce the Miata tub and support the body, and slip on a 50's inspired body that I am working on. Then again they make V8 conversions for a Miata don't they. (body pics are photoshop)

Have a good one, John

Whatever you make John will be first class. I have been awed by your engineering for years now and when you get all your ducks in a row you produce a very good product. I just wish I had some of your tools at my house.

It would be great to see you again and whatever you decide to put on the track. Come and see us at Run N Gun if you can.

Clois, Dad and I had had a great day watching everyone run and how the group comes together when someone was broke to get them back out on the track. Sure looks like fun, won't have our Cobra done by October but you have me looking around for what else we might drive. (now I regret selling my mustang).

John - awesome looking car!

SWEET! I have it on my Calendar.

Clois Harlan 06-13-2012 05:03 AM

Mark,

I hope you can make it with or without your Cobra.

This is a great group of guys and everyone sincerely cares about the other. I have been involved with Run N Gun for almost 13 years now and my first experience with the comradery of the participants was when Jay Nordstrom (a very good friend now) offered to come up to Tulsa from Dallas to help me with my hydraulic clutch. With his help and others over the years my Cobra ownership has been so much more than just driving a Cobra.

This is a great fraternity of people. My experience has been that if and when you need help there will ALWAYS be one of us there to help you.

Run N Gun and similar events just highlight the goodwill everyone has for each other. Run n Gun has trophy's and challenges but the very best part of Run N Gun is seeing your friends and swapping stories in the pits.

Amen to what CLois said. It is all about the people.

Will it ever be back to the track in Hastings Nebraska ?

LREYBURN 06-25-2012 09:57 AM

Rules Enhancement?

Clois:

I heard that the advanced group will be allowed to pass without a "point by" and in the corners...like in "racing"...can you validate that statement?

My wife and I went to Norwalk, OH in 1996. George Andersen was entry #2 in R & G.

Although we did not have a car there, we had a great time.

The next year, 1997, we went to a Ford/Shelby meet in Tulsa and Hallett Track.

Maybe we can stay healthy enough to see everybody in Tulsa.

Clois,

Will you be renting the shelters on the paddock? How do I get one?

Mike

Clois Harlan 06-26-2012 11:45 AM

Everywhere but turn 1 as long as everyone plays nice. Also, on Sunday in the 10 lap Challenge which will be ran by Run Groups.

The Race ports will be assigned in order of registration. We will be placing four cars per port. No Charge for the Race ports or transponders.

Russell, I certainly hope so! I have only been part of Run N Gun since 1999. Participate or just show up. We would love to see you and Marie. If you choose not to participate in the event you can join us for the Banquet for just $20 ea (Rib eye, NY Strip, or Chicken Breast plus sides and it is NOT some cheap steak house quality steak or chicken) and you may purchase a T-Shirt for $12 ea if you like. Of course those items comes with the registration.

Clois Harlan 06-26-2012 12:26 PM

I am sure it will. Hastings is a wonderful track and last year was a tough year for a lot of us. George Anderson is a terriffic host and if you attended the RNG in 2010 you know how hard he worked to keep everyone happy in the rain.

There is no reason RUN N GUN can't travel to different tracks!

Clois
