Was the body made by a certain company? Not a lot of people just pop out 289 FIA style bodies...

As I stated in post #18, the body was made by Bryan in Missouri. I think they working to launch a production - I'm not sure.
I talked to him on the phone this weekend, he is aware of this thread. He may will post. This is up to him when...

Bryan is the company name? Do they have a website? What do they normally manufacture?

I saw two chassis in the shop - both were 427's. He is right now building a 289 chassis, I don't know the status on that one.
About the body, I know of the 289 mold - but I really don't know if he has a 427 mold.

Bryan is a good guy, and it is a pleasure as wrencher to talk to him. Give him a shout.

Thanks, yes there will be pictures - plenty of them. Right now I gather parts and materials. Soon (2-3 weeks) you will see here more "action".

the IRS placed

here with the body

slowly it starts looking like a car

From here on the upper frame starts. The 2x4inch cross bar on the frame rail end will be later trimmed down. It was important to keep the frame and axles perpendicular to each other.

Thanks Jeff - yes the pics will come...

The frame balance right now at the 3 inch cross bar (not welded yet). I hope to balance the car at 45 inch wet. I'm eyeballing a twin turbo setup. This month HodRod magazine shows the same motor producing 596HP on a otherwise stock motor, with a cheap Ebay turbo.
To keep the sound (4cyl right and left) and have less complicated hot side plumping a twin turbo is the best choice IMO. Less boost on the single one stresses the moving and controlling parts less, which results in a longer lifespan.
I was not planning on a larger oil pan and a larger pump - but this mod needs that.
