What type of cobra is this going into? If it is basically a CSX4k frame and you can find a stronger more cost effective alternitive please let me know I may need a replacement in the (hopefully not too near) future. I'm not sure of the durability factor of the Shelby aluminum 3rd member. I polled the Shelby Owners Group forum on this subject, with no response back.
My car is seeing more open track the last couple of years and I have durability concerns from increasing the tire compounds from Goodyear GTII's to Avons and now Hoosiers.
I can feel the rear really load up when applying full throttle on wide uphill sweepers. I'm not sure how much this thing can take.........not so much the Dana 44 but the alum housing itself.
