The customer and I had a discussion regarding the fuel level gauge over a pressure gauge. He has no use for the pressure gauge and wants the level gauge, so the level gauge it is.
I really don't have a problem with it, not that big of a deal and easy to swap out if he changes his mind down the road.
I have great customers and I try to build them the car they envision and want.
Now if my customer wants a 6 inch lift with big mud tires etc, then we would have a little problem.
Come to think about it, no we wouldn't have a problem because I would not be building it.

Started in on the wiring, mounting the items needed to make the whole thing work as it should.
Not the most exciting part of the build but an important part.

Where do you get your wiring harness from? Pretty professional looking.

Craig : you are building an exact replica of my car! I too have the 42 gal tank and went with the fuel gauge. The sending unit is a standard float on a swing arm, mounted in the access plate at the fwd edge of the tank bottom center section, so it only reads up to about 1/2 tank, but to paraphrase Raul Julia,
"What is above that does not matter".

The wiring harness are made in the UK to order, they are very nicely made.
