Post Hydraulic Or Mechanical

Is it worth the expense and effort to use a hydraulic clutch? Does it reduce pedal effort?

Had both. Cable broke, leaving me stranded.

Now I have hydraulic.

Hydraulic with the leverage of a fork makes an easy clutch pedal.

Never going back to cable, to hard to push and it broke leaving me and the boss stranded, not happy!
Spent the money and converted over to hydraulic, Sweeeeet! Works like a dream, very little effort to push the pedal.
Why I didn't go this way in the first place.
Didn't know about this forum and listened to others, bad advice.
Now the question for you is a fork design or on the trans shaft like a Mcleod (sp?).
I went with a fork design and am very happy.

Hydraulic hose broke on CSX-2268 at Pocono (SAAC-10) I drove back to Great Gorge NJ without a clutch..

No comparison.......a hydraulic clutch is the only way to go.

Diaphragm type pressure plates are also easier to operate than long style or spring and lever type. The type with centrifugal weights for holding give better clamping at higher RPM. I'm using that with external hydraulic in mine.
