Original Uprights
I have looked at later Triumph Herald uprights with disc brakes and I have acquired a set of earlier drum brake uprights. Later ones have a steering arm off the stub axle retaining nut and are quite skinny top to bottom. They also have a disc brake bracket on one side only. Earlier ones have a steering arm like the original that bolts across the bottom two bracket bolts. The top has a conventional tapered hole for the ball joint and the bottom uses the screw on bronze housing with a rubber bushing. I'll put a picture up I'm sick of typing! Bottom line is the uprights aren't Triumph Herald from what I've seen. Does anyone know if the Vitesse was different to these or better yet what did the real ones actually come from. If anyone can tell me I'll help find us some
