I dont think its something someone would or could do alone.I might be 80 years old when I was done.Well 1/2 hour doesnt make me much of an expert.Right now Im just a drip under pressure.
You need pre preg weave carbon fiber to start the lay up.It all pulls apart real easy. They sell it frozen.I will let ya know. Its dangerous to handle because the fibers can just slide right into your skin.I had a small piece of this pre preg and set in on the edge a paper plate. After 24 hours now its still not set up completely but holding its shape.i just took off the backing and formed it to shape.Given a good carbon fiber mold it is doable.

Hey guys, does anyone have a set of paper patterns for the aluminum that goes in the engine bay,the trunk, and the cockpit area including the foot boxes that they would like to share. I want to work with a local metal shop to see if I can use some of their odd leftovers from other projects to help reduce cost of mine. Carl

Hi Mick,

for how much did those patterns sell for?
How were the rear inner fenders of the main tub drawn?

Hey Dom they haven't sold yet. They do a trianglulated development for a corner at the top. Other wise it's just a formed corner below it.

I've seen some home built cars and I was wondering where the builders got these bodies , they look like they are thinner than normal ( like fasterpatricks body ) ? Are they for racing ? Where might someone find a body like this ? Thanks Mark

E-bay has them come up pretty regularly. Where are you out of, might be able to suggest someone near you?

Just looking for a cheap one , even a blem will do ! I'm in Independence,Mo. I could even use a one piece that I have to cut open the hood . It's gonna be a race car so the doors don't even have to work , thanks for the info I love this site. Mark
