Default Want to start a 289 build

Hey guys, my names tony, ive been thinking about building a 289 cobra (slabside) for awhile now and im think im gonna go ahead with it.

Has anyone on here done the 289 before?

I got in touch with cobra chuck members.aol.com/chuckcobra to buy some frame schematics off of him and maybe get some advice on oter aspects of building it, he seems like a pretty nice guy.

The one thing that has me real stumped, and which I need to figure out before i buy anything is what to do about the rear axle and steering components they seem like they would be hard to find and insanly expensive. is there anything else that will work in the car? anyone have any ideas on that one

Call Nick as he can fab everything and most definately priced right. Low overhead means we can save. Everything he has made for me is A-1 stellar!

Thanks for the info guys, i only got to look through actons site yet and it looks pretty cool.

I did find these tho justcobras.com and cobrarestorers.com the both have a lot of orignal parts for the 289. Has anyone dealt with either one of them before, i want to try to avoid shady parts sellers if I can.
