Default Question for you Australian guys!

I see that alot of you are using LS engines with the T56 tranny. I'm in the USA and wanted a Cobra but with 1997 and up Vette parts. I built a space frame, built the suspension cradles, narrowed to fit the Cobra body, and converted the Vettes Diff to take a driveshaft. (The Vette transaxle is too wide to fit the Cobra)
My question is: Would be there be any interest in using the Vett suspension and Diff in cars that are being built there?

That's a solid looking Chassis John.

The only real problem I see is that Corvette stuff is not readily available here. They were never sold by GM in Australia and the only ones we have are private imports.

So with not many Corvettes around there's not a lot of donor parts available. Replacement parts aren't sold through the dealers and there aren't many in the breakers yards. Any parts that are available are usually imported from the US and expensive.

Your best bet is to find a local donor. The Pontiac GTO that you guys have in the US or the newer G8 are Australian sourced GM vehicles. Donor parts for these would be plentiful down under.

Cheers
