Thank you very much - I believe it is a steal...even in this economy!

Very pretty indeed, but color me very skeptical on the quoted torque and horsepower numbers. Given an assumed 15% drive line loss, that 427 would be cranking out around 630 at the flywheel. Sorry, but that just isn't realistic.

Agreed. Revise the hype. Not happening on a 427 with 3310 on pump gas and 9.5 compression. Tell the truth to sell the car.

Well, I know someone with 447 cubes, a 3310, and 10.6 compression........ 450 honest HP. (Maybe a tad more on a good day.)
EDIT -- And that's at the flywheel.

It's a very nice car and color, but to call it a "steal in this economy" or any economy is really hyperbole. IMHO.
Best of luck with the sale.

It is indeed a "steal." You're just not looking at it from the right perspective.

Based on the compression, cam and heads I'd say the rear wheel HP would be closer to 460 to 480. My all aluminum 496 FE with 10:7 compression, big solid roller, single plan intake, Quick Fuel 850 and Stage 3 heads made 681HP at the crank and 530HP at the wheels. We only ran it a couple times on the chassis dyno on a high humid day and still a bit rich so thinking it's probably got another 20 in it a bit leaner and better day but I doubt his combination would be over 500 at wheels. Pretty car however!
Here's pic of my KC 496 FE....
