We learned drama from you blokes, Trev.
...and just to bring it full circle, if you want a Kirkham slabside, fia, 427 S/C or a Daytona, you can't get it from Shelby.
You call Kirkham directly and talk to the folks who make them right there.

Did anyone figure out the split between AL and glass 8000's? It looks like there are at least 5 AL ones..

 Trevor,
Have you decided if your script for this will be a musical?

Just got back from personally delivering the 5th (and final - for my dealership, at least) CSX 8000 50th anniversary car to its new home in south Florida. Of the 5 CSX 8000 cars we got for the 50th anniversary two were alloy body and this was number 2 of 2 -
Now, onto the 50th anniversary of the CSX 7000 (289 FIA) car that will be introduced in January 2014

Looks nice. It will be interesting to see if it sells at that price.
 Stephen,

I have noticed that most of the Shelby continuation cars lack the ferrules or studs for a tonneau cover or soft top. Are a tonneau cover or soft top available a options? I did not see them listed as options on the Shelby website.

 Thanks.

Thank you for the kudos!

Yes a factory tonneau cover and a factory soft-top were available (as options) for the 289 small block cars from Shelby. |

 Stephen,
Thanks. That is nice to know. Would like to see more miles on the one for sale on ebay. That engine is barely off the break in oil and it is hard to say what issues it may have. Some issues do not show up until after a car has been driven for several thousand miles. It s not like these cars come with a warranty. The best protection against build issues with an engine is time and use. |
