Congrats mikyFIA, I can tell you it's well worth the wait. But a "choice" between Holley or Webers... really? ;)

Looking forward to the updates as well.

I want the Webers, and have and have had many multi-carb setups, just not Webers. Anyone know of a good book on keeping them running?

Fullchat289 05-29-2014 06:31 AM

Don't need a book to keep them running. Just get in touch with Jim Inglese and he will set you up with a system that works with your engine specifications. As long as everything else with the engine is healthy, you shouldn't need to do anything but enjoy them.

Not sure if Shelby Engines are using him, but I will ask, they are doing the Shelby Engine 331 for me.

mikyFIA,
If cost and 'perceived' complexity isn't an issue, then go WEBERS!

Thanks, that is where I am leaning. It seems the Holleys they match to these engines are no less complex, new type ones I would be lost at anyway.

rodneym 05-29-2014 09:54 AM

Is Joe installing one of those new black Holleys? They're nice carbs but they're not Webers ;)

mikyFIA 05-29-2014 10:28 AM

I think so, new gen type Holley he says.

My engine has now been completed and dyno-tested. It makes peak HP of 466 #6200 rpm, and peak torque of 458 @4700 with the 4-48 IDAs and the special grind cam, from Shelby Engines, sounds pretty stout.

This looks awesome! :)

Looks great.

Didn't the 50th anniversary brochure show white wheels?

mikyFIA 09-08-2014 11:59 AM

Yes, they will be, and have the Goodyear big letter stencil tires, this is just a roller.

Nice choice on finishing shop.
