Geez, where's Evan when I need him to back me up on rivets!

Well, if you really want to talk to him, then his moniker is "Waxer." You can join the P-car forum and PM him over there all you want for your daily Evan dosage.

The early CSX4000's are more desirable CSX's and Shelby could have in theory stopped doing rivets along way, which could interest the OP. Or the OP may not care one bit. However, I know Shelby does hood rivets on their CSX6000's, so ASO544 is incorrect.

I am not worthy of joining the P-Car forum and really have no desire.
But, you've gotta admit this thread would be one he would be railing on!

The water-cooled section of the p-car forum is all about values, wheels, waxes, leather conditioning, best oils and body wraps. So Bernica, you MAY not fit in there.

BTW, Evan's new Porsche 911 GT3RS does have a full body wrap and it's one of those matte finishes. Not a big fan of matte finish, but that's a personal touch that some like.

Just my two cents,

ANY Shelby built after May 10, 2012 is not a true Shelby but just a sale gimmick.

And so all the Fords sold since Henry the first died aren't really "Fords" at all?

Geez, please don't tell the Ferrari buyers of the last twenty years that Enzo is gone!
RCSC likes this.

So, that's true for Ferrari, Lamborghini, Porsche?...the list goes on.

Talk about opening a can of worms! Again!

If you are buying for the driving experience and don't know the difference between the 2 cars mentioned, you may be better off getting a Factory Five. If you are going for the investment angle, put your money in blue chip stocks and buy a Miata to drive.....

That should get the natives beating their drums.....

It's not when Ferdinand died, but when Porsche went all mass-production Mr. Roboto with those water-cooled whiz bangs.

Real Porsche 911's ended there.

We've litigated this case a million times. We've mowed this lawn before. We've plowed this field a few times.

And Shelby's passing has zero to do with it.

If I'm incorrect I apologize. The rivets I was talking about were the ones that outlined the front of the hood and not the ones that attach the hood scoop. If you google "Shelby CSX 6000" the only car I could find with this rivets was the blue one on Shelbys website. All the others seem to not have those rivets I was referring to. The 2 CSX6000s I just looked at did not have those rivets as well.

Once again if I'm wrong then sorry for the bad info!
